Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Vision Associates of Westland the leading provider of vision care products and services in Westland.


Michael Pack, O.D.

Dr. Michael Pack graduated with his Doctorate of Optometry Degree from the Michigan College of Optometry in 2007.

Dr. Pack specializes in Pediatric Eye Care with an emphasis on vision disorders and their effect on learning. He has advanced training in Orthokeratology and Corneal Refractive Therapy, non-surgical techniques to correct nearsightedness, and other treatments for the control of Myopia (nearsightedness).

He is passionately dedicated to community outreach and involvement through vision screening. He has been actively involved for a number of years in Michigan Special Olympics Opening Eyes, Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH-Ml), as well as, being a part of VSP Eyes of Hope and local Migrant Vision Screening Programs. He has also helped to establish and organize the Vision Screening Section of the MIU Men’s Health Event which is held annually in Detroit at Ford Field. Where he has been exposed to and developed acumen for ocular disease diagnosis and management.

Dr. Pack has served as the President of the Metropolitan Detroit Optometric Society since 2010. He is currently serving as a Vice President to the Board of the Michigan Optometric Association. He has been an active and participating member of the American Optometric Association and the Michigan Optometric Association since 2007.

ln his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Lindsay, three young sons, Xavier, Xander, and Xayn, as well as his little doggie princess Bella. He also loves Detroit Tigers, The Michigan Wolverines and enjoys tinkering with things and working on projects with the boys.


Randy Houdek, OD

Doctor Houdek has been at this location for 22 years. Doctor of Optometry, Illinois College of Optometry, Cum Laude, 1981 Bachelor of Science Degree. University of Michigan, Cum Laude, 1976
